Amidst all the talk surrounding Ousmane Dembele and his potential move to PSG, the latest reports suggest that\u00a0his \u20ac50 million release clause will not be triggered<\/a>\u00a0before the end of the day.<\/p>\n

Instead, Barcelona and PSG will negotiate and settle on a transfer fee, at the request of the winger, who is already understood to have\u00a0agreed a five-year contract<\/a>\u00a0with the Ligue 1 champions.<\/p>\n

Now, a report from journalist\u00a0Sergio A Gonzalez<\/a>\u00a0is claiming that while Dembele\u2019s release clause will not be activated, Barcelona and PSG will likely agree on an amount close to the \u20ac50 million value of the said exit clause.<\/p>\n

Dembele\u2019s exit will be closed for \u20ac40-50 million<\/h2>\n

The journalist states that the operation will close for around \u20ac40-50 million, all of which will end up in Bar\u00e7a\u2019s coffers while the Parisian giants will pay the forward\u2019s agent a commission.<\/p>\n

It must be remembered that is the release clause were to be activated, Bar\u00e7a would be entitled to only half the total sum, i.e., \u20ac25 million, with the remaining half going to Dembele and his<\/p>\n

representative, as per the terms of his contract with the club.<\/p>\n

By avoiding the activation of the release clause and agreeing to a three-way agreement for the operation, the entire transfer fee, likely to be around \u20ac40-50 million, would be pocketed by the La Liga champions.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s more, the report states that the operation could end up freeing up around \u20ac25 million for the club as far as the Financial Fair Play margin is concerned.<\/p>\n

It could create room for Barcelona to bring in their preferred right-back target Joao Cancelo, instead of Ivan Fresneda, who does not generate total consensus within the club.<\/p>\n

Both Bar\u00e7a and PSG will be eager to get the operation done and dusted at the earliest possible so as to avoid any unnecessary distraction within their respective squads.<\/p>\n
