Barcelona might have started their search for a replacement for Ousmane Dembele, who looks set to join Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n

However, the club are also facing a situation regarding Vitor Roque. They have\u00a0reached an agreement<\/a>\u00a0with Athletico Paranaense over the Brazilian attacker.<\/p>\n

Vitor Roque was initially expected to join Barcelona in January due to the club\u2019s financial constraints. But following Dembele\u2019s and Franck Kessie\u2019s exits, the club could be in a position to register the Brazilian forward this summer.<\/p>\n

Athletico PR counting on Roque until 2024<\/h2>\n

According to\u00a0Fabrizio Romano<\/a>, Athletico PR have no intention of offloading Vitor Roque this summer. The club are counting on his services at least until December.<\/p>\n

Romano points out that the coming year could be key for the club. It is the centenary season for the club since its foundation in 1924.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Athletico PR want Vitor Roque to stay at the club until the end of the year and help the team qualify for next season\u2019s Copa Libertadores.<\/p>\n

With 23 goals and 11 assists in 72 competitive matches, Roque already has a stellar record at Athletico PR and his presence could go a long way in helping the club achieve its objective for the season.<\/p>\n

There are many perks of Vitor Roque joining Barcelona ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n

Although the forward\u2019s addition may impact the club\u2019s FFP margins, his presence in the team could go a long way in helping the club fill in for Dembele, who\u00a0might be a part of the team<\/a>\u00a0for the upcoming Joan Gamper trophy.<\/p>\n

This is because Roque is capable of operating not only as a central striker but also in a wider role. He can, therefore, prove to be an ideal alternative for Robert Lewandowski and Dembele.<\/p>\n
